Oxford cloth coating type knowledge
What is coated oxford cloth? Oxford cloth is coated with a layer of materials with special functions by special technology, so that the cloth adds special functions. Therefore, it is also called functional coated oxford cloth.
The common types of coated oxford cloth for textile are as follows:
1.PVC coated oxford cloth has excellent mildew resistance, obvious waterproof, non flammability, strong tensile force, high strength, weather resistance and excellent geometric stability. PVC has strong resistance to oxidants, reducing agents and strong acids, and is widely used.
Luckily that, our gun bags, backpacks, duffle bag, sling bag, archery bow & arrow bag, gaiters, gun slings, belts, tactical vest etc. products mostly used PVC coating, so that bags would be more durable and solid in reality for end consumers to use and also with more competitive cost in market.
2.PA coating, also known as AC adhesive coating, namely acrylic coating, is a common coating at present. After coating, it can increase the hand feeling, windproof and sag feeling.
3.PU coated oxford cloth, that is, polyurethane coating. After coating, the fabric feels plump, elastic and film on the surface. PU white glue coating, that is, a layer of white polyurethane resin is coated on the surface of the fabric, which is basically the same as PA white glue. However, after PU white glue is coated, the feel is fuller, the fabric is more elastic and the fastness is better; PU silver glue coating has the same basic function as PA silver glue coating. However, PU silver coated fabric has better elasticity and fastness. For tents and other fabrics requiring high water pressure, PU silver coated fabric is better than PA silver coated fabric.
Flame retardant coated oxford cloth makes the fabric have flame retardant effect by dip rolling or coating treatment. It can be painted with color or silver on the surface of the fabric. Generally used for car decoration, curtains, tents, clothing, etc.
The oxford cloth with anti ultraviolet coating makes the fabric have the function of anti ultraviolet through anti ultraviolet treatment, that is, the ability to prevent ultraviolet penetration. Generally, light color is difficult to do, and dark color is easy to meet the standard.
Coated oxford cloth is widely used in tents, outdoor supplies, shoe materials, coats, curtains, bags, ski shirts with advanced waterproof and moisture permeability, sports clothes, mountaineering clothes, etc. it can also be used in national defense, navigation, industry, offshore oil wells, transportation and other fields.
